City+Ventures today announced the purchase of Central Park Plaza, a distinct pair of red-brick office towers that have long been a ubiquitous part of Omaha’s skyline. Located on 15th Street between Douglas and Farnam, the two towers include approximately 420,000 square feet of commercial office space, as well as Sullivan’s Steakhouse and Starbucks.

“We are excited to add the Central Park Plaza property to our real estate portfolio,” said Chris Erickson, City+Ventures co-founder and co-owner. “We are already headquartered in the building, so we see firsthand the potential for the Central Park Plaza buildings and for Omaha.”

City+Ventures will be the first local owner of Central Park Plaza, which was built in the 1980s and has a history of being home to major local employers.

The company’s purchase of Central Park Plaza demonstrates its continued commitment to revitalization and to making meaningful investments that continue enhancing Omaha’s urban core.

Purchase financing was supported in large part by Dundee Bank.

“We are proud to work with City+Ventures to establish local ownership of a key property in downtown Omaha,” said Adrian Hernandez, senior vice president of Dundee Bank. “We are confident in City+Ventures vision and are proud to be able to provide critical financing to organizations who continue investing during uncertain economic times.”
